Site News,We hope to keep you informed of what's happening with our Dolphin Karate website, and within our school. (if your interested!) Hopefully, we will keep it updated with current site news. Let us know if you have information to add. Thank You.
What's Up Now?4/09, WOW, Where have we been? Well...... We have had a very busy and event filled couple of years. Sensei Darrell and his wife were killed in a tragic accident in 2008. The Redlands Dojo had to close in Jan. of 2009...... But things tend to swing back to the center! Our Highland Dojo is open in 2009, and the High Desert Dojo also has a grand opening in April of 2009. A door closes, a window opens! Come back and train with us. We are the real deal. You know it!
6/07, Sensei Paul is ready to see you at the annual Mountain Day Training. All are welcome! Osu.... 6/07, Sensei Darrell has decided to retire for a while to pursue other areas. We are sorry to see him go but wish him well. We hope he returns someday to tell of his journey. 2/06, The 2006 calendar is posted. Keep an eye on it as additions are certain. 10/05, The photo gallery has more photographs posted. We have had several good events this year. As always we encourage everyone to send us photographs and articles for the site. Thank you. 8/05, Yes, The Arcata Dojo has decals with the wording Arcata around the Kanku now! Thanks to Robert Guerrero, a talented graphic artist in Fontana Ca. We can have him do custom work for you if you need it. Just let us know. And we don't want to make money on it, price is between Robert and you alone! 6/2005, We found some more pictures from the March 2005 Kyu promotion and added them to the Photo Gallery. We also have some Decals available, they feature the Kanku, with the wording 'So. Ca. Kyokushin Karate' around it. They look nice. More books have been added to the Reading Room area of our site, Reviews still needed on many. 4/2005, We have added photographs of Sensei Ronald Stevens to our photo gallery. His Bio will be posted soon as well. Sensei Stevens had 3 dojo in Riverside while we were known as 'The Karate School of Oyama', Headed by Shihan Steve Senne. Osu... 1/2005, The year looks promising. We have in our plans monthly brown belt classes and there is a rumor the brown belts are starting a workout group to train on their own! (way to go) The schedule will be out as soon as we find out Shihan Layne's plans for classes in 2005. If we are invited to attend again this year we will make our schedule around his, so all our members will have the opportunity to attend his training classes. For our black belts there is no greater opportunity to advance skills than at Shihan Layne's classes. Sensei Rod continues to recover from his obstacles on the path of the way, and plans to attend everything possible this year. No slackers will go unnoticed this year! :-) Sensei Mark is engaged to Joy (bout time!) and we hope they will enlighten us with a date sometime this year., CONGRATULATIONS! We have survived another season... once small, once large... our group endures the challenges of the fires that temper our spirits and souls, through the constant and unshaken pursuit of the Martial way... OSU! 3/2004, Our school store now offers gi with full kanji and Kanku embroidery. They look great and are the traditional gi for our school. No plain gi will be sold as all stock has been converted to the new/old style. Your existing gi can be embroidered for a small fee. See Sensei Rod if interested. We now have a dojo in Arcata California with Nick Bertell instructing! Should make for a good road trip on occasion! 3/2004, More photo's have been added to the Photo gallery. 2/2004, The new year brings several changes with our school. Sensei Jerod has taken over at the Norco dojo. Sensei Steve has retired from teaching, and Sensei Paul has taken over the Jurupa Dojo. Sensei Aaron is away at school but attends some training with Shihan Layne in Covina (lucky guy) Our 2004 student handbook and the 2004 Blackbelt handbook both are revised and in print! We should have them available at the next kyu promotion (Blackbelt review also) 1/2004, I have posted the 2004 schedule including Sensei Dan's Schedule at the Covina Dojo. I am changing the Calendar format some. There will not be the monthly schedules listed. Just the At-A-Glance for the whole year. The monthly schedules will be updated all year in short form on the upcoming events page. OSU.... 12/o3, The Norco Dojo has been resurrected and will again hold classes beginning the first Monday in January 2004 at 7 PM. Sensei Jerod will be teaching and maintaining the Norco Dojo. The Corona dojo will merge at the Norco Location, Closing the Corona Dojo to use the superior Norco location. Thanks to Sensei Steve for aiding in the set up of Jerod's new location in Norco. 11/03, We have had very successful Brownbelt and kyu promotions in October and November. Results and Photographs have been posted. Take a look. We missed those of you who couldn't or wouldn't attend!
9/03, We don't know if we will have a official Kanku BBQ or not this year! Sean has made some indications but nothing solid so far. Sensei Paul would like to pull another tournament together before the year end sand needs help. Please contact him ASAP. Thanks.
8/03, Lots of good training happened at the Mountain training Day and was followed by more good training at the Beach training day ! Thanks to Sensei's Mark and Paul.

We finally have added some new photo's to the photo gallery, check it out! Updated the Calendar with the Covina Cat Dojo Advanced class information. The promotion at Jurupa was held and several students were graded to an higher rank, congratulations! Check out the promotions from the link on the Journey's Pathway page. Check out the 2004 calendar a good place to find what you need in training dates! *Dan Ranks are asked to host, administer, (or be responsible for) at least one event each year. This is especially important for our instructing Sensei's and will be part of your yearly review requirement! We invite all our friends, viewers, and Students to send us constructive critiques and any ideas for useful or fun additions to the site. Just e-mail the webmaster or Sensei Rod . We actively solicit photo's of past members as well! If you see yourself on the members list, and would like a better photo used, send us one you like! We cannot guarantee we will use it, but we try and make everyone as happy as possible. OSU...
Keep checking back. We will update as often as we are able (or receive information!).
